Service Incoming!

Our board has put together a semester full of service, leadership, and social events sure to make your time with CKI worth it! We will be kicking off our first service project of the year this Tuesday in the Student Center room 3108. THIS WILL BE THE LAST MEETING IN THIS ROOM. EVERY MEETING STARTING 2/14 WILL BE HELD IN HEWSON ROOM 1001.
Elections for board positions will be opening late February, and all seats are available. Our meeting on February 21st will cover the different positions, how they contribute to the club, and what is required in each role. Reach out to anyone on the board if you are interested in a leadership position with us!

 

Upcoming Events and Service Opportunities:

  • Tuesday (2/7): Service meeting! ROOM 3108. We will be writing Letters of Love for patients in children’s hospitals. Counts towards your service hours!
  • Tuesday (2/14): ***FIRST MEETING IN HEWSON 1001***Valentines social including cookie decorating and all the warm fuzzies:)
  • Tuesday (2/21): Leadership night. We will be holding an interest meeting for the different board positions opening late February!
  • Saturday (2/25): Pancake Day with Kiwanis! This is a HUGE service project. Sign up information coming soon.
  • Tuesday (2/28): Service meeting!

Reminders:

  • You can find online service hour opportunities here!
  • Dues for students coming in during the Spring semester are $25. Pay in cash to Jesse or Venmo @UACircleK-International
    • In the description, include: first and last name, T-shirt size, and graduation month and year
    • dues go towards international membership, a T-shirt, goodies at the end of the year, and funding for needed club materials
  • NEW MEMBER REQUIREMENTS: to become a member, you must obtain and log at least 6 service hours, attend a New Member Orientation, attend 5 meetings throughout the semester, and pay dues for the year.

  • Please remember that you must attend AT LEAST FIVE of our meetings every semester.
