1/17 Meeting Recap

Hello Everyone!

For those of you that could not make the meeting on Tuesday, here are all of our service and fellowship opportunities!

Spotlight on Service!

IF YOU HAVEN’T SIGNED UP FOR SERVICE PROJECTS YOU WANT TO ATTEND, PLEASE DO SO ONLINE AT uacirclek.org 🙂

1. HERO with SEA – Saturday, January 21st from 8:00am to 5:00pm in Greensboro, AL. We will be helping them remodel (light carpentry, painting, sanding, hanging drywall, etc) an old schoolhouse that will be used for vocational/GED classes by the community. If interested, sign up on our website – uacirclek.org – or contact Alisha Goad – agoad@crimson.ua.edu.
2. Administrative Hour Opportunity – Get your administrative hour for Spring semester by helping us raise awareness for Circle K meetings! Come chalk with us onMonday, January 23rd from 5:00pm to 6:00pm starting at the Ferg Fountain! Contact Joe Kirkendall – jckirkendall@crimson.ua.edu – with any questions.
3.Be the Match – Tuesday, January 24th before our regular meeting! Sign up to be a potential bone marrow donor so you can save a life if you become someone in need’s match! If interested, contact Madison Knapp – mknapp@crimson.ua.edu.

Fellowship!
1. Intramural Sports – Circle K is creating intramural teams for the Spring season! Our first sport will be indoor soccer. There is no fee to play, so if you’re interested in joining, please contact Cole Johnson – jcjohnson18@crimson.ua.edu.

Leadership!
1. Lieutenant Governor Elections – We’ve started nominating members for the position of Lieutenant Governor! Talk to a current board member at the next meeting if you’re interested in being nominated or if you have any questions.

DCON
This year’s District Convention (DCON) will be held in Birmingham, Alabama fromFebruary 24th to February 26th! DCON will have speakers, development sessions, ideas on how to expand your service, a dance, plus tons of awards to recognize your CKI Club and yourself! Registration is $100 due by February 10th.
